The "One Laptop Per Child" project has a great device ready to ship, but there's no Java on there. Let's think about working together to put Java on OLPC!

I'm using Eclipse 3.4. I have instructions for how to connect to my
repository using the Generic Connector, but I cannot figure out how to
install the Generic Connector. I have installed every Mylyn feature that I
can find from every update site that I can find, and after installing
updates and restarting Eclipse about 4 times, I still do not have the
Generic connector.
When I try to add a new repository, I only get three choices, Bugzilla,
Jira and Trac. The Generic Connector is not available.
The current set of features are:
3.0.1.v20080721-2100-e3x org.eclipse.mylyn_feature
3.0.1.v20080721-2100-e3x org.eclipse.mylyn.pde_feature
3.0.1.v20080721-2100-e3x org.eclipse.mylyn.jira_feature
3.0.1.v20080721-2100-e3x org.eclipse.mylyn.sdk_feature
3.0.1.v20080721-2100-e3x org.eclipse.mylyn.trac_feature
3.0.1.v20080721-2100-e3x org.eclipse.mylyn.java_feature
3.0.1.v20080721-2100-e3x org.eclipse.mylyn.context_feature
3.0.1.v20080721-2100-e3x org.eclipse.mylyn.ide_feature
3.0.1.v20080721-2100-e3x org.eclipse.mylyn.bugzilla_feature
3.0.1.v20080721-2100-e3x org.eclipse.mylyn.team_feature
3.0.1.v20080721-2100-e3x org.eclipse.mylyn.extras_sdk_feature
5.0.0.200806171202 org.eclipse.cdt.mylyn
First, it seems strange to me that the Generic Connector is not installed by
default, but accepting that connectors need to be installed as a separate
step, can anyone point me to an update site that has the Generic Connector?
Or, tell me what I'm doing wrong (always a possibility) that the Generic
Connector is not getting installed.
