How To Theme Eclipse

I am trying to work out a few additional details on a dark theme that has been discussed at http://drnicwilliams.com/2006/08/08/textmate-theme-for-radrails/ .

There are some items that aren't lending themselves to straight forward customization and I was hopeful to get some advice and pointers from you good folks over in this forum.

I started a thread on it over at Aptana's RadRails support forum. If you could please refer to the following it would be very much appreciated:

Please also feel free to answer here rather than over there if you would rather for convenience sake.

Thanks for any help!

Re: How To Theme Eclipse

I know that there was some Ui changes in 3.3 to handle similar aspects for example easy way to theme the splash screen and etc.

The first place I would check would be the EclipseCon web site for the pdfs and slides on the UI changes..

Anyway why bother with a stupid theme text colors. The important is to code good solutions not to see how beautiful my text editor looks LMAO. Actually that color theme remember me the times of Turbo C on DOS ROFLAO.

Clearly you do not suffer from eye strain issue s that some encounter with white backgrounds.

For those of us who do suffer from eye strain, there have been numerous studies that discuss the benefits of a darker background color.

Getting back to the original post, I am not sure if there are any eclipse themes to handle this though.
